My husband and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We chose the Palace Hotel to be part of the celebration. The service was very good. The hotel is beautiful and has so much history. It felt grand. I was asked when making the celebration if we were celebrating anything special in the Bonvoy app. I mentioned our anniversary. It would’ve been nice to have the hotel acknowledged this during our stay even with a simple note in our room. Of course this did not take away from our trip but it is always nice to be remembered especially since we made the Palace a part of our very special celebration. Our suite was nice and roomy. The Pied Piper bar was beautiful and the bartenders were awesome! Eating in the atrium was a wonderful experience topped off with a wonderful breakfast buffet. We would definitely go again.

First visit, we stayed for 3 days in a suite. It was perfect for our family of 3. Bed was great, room was lovely, loved that there was a dinning table great for kids to do art or have snacks. Bathroom is small but we'll appointed. Breakfast was wonderful, tons of great options. We did diner at pied piper as well also good suggest sitting in the lounge it was much quieter. We had a great trip its in a clean area we felt safe to walk around and close enough to walk to ferry building.

What an amazing experience. Gorgeous architecture layered with so much history and character. I genuinely can’t believe it took me over 10 years of living in SF to finally stay at this hotel. The guest service was top tier from start to finish. The indoor pool and gym were fantastic, everything was spotless, and the amenities were excellent. The breakfast buffet at the Garden Court was incredible, and dinner at the Pied Piper absolutely lived up to the hype. Honestly, what more can you ask for? Easily one of the best staycations we’ve ever had.

In a city defined by its steep hills and equally steep expectations, The Palace Hotel doesn’t just lean into its storied San Francisco history—it redefines what modern, high-stakes hospitality should look like. While many grand dames of the hospitality world rely on the inertia of their architecture, The Palace is currently operating with a surgical precision and a warmth that is, frankly, rare. The true litmus test for any luxury establishment isn't how they treat the titan of industry, but how they handle the chaotic, unscripted presence of a toddler. The Art of the Welcome From the moment of arrival, the staff bypassed the usual stiff formalities in favor of a genuine, proactive embrace. Celebrating a first birthday is a milestone often fraught with parental anxiety; here, the team anticipated every need before it was articulated. • Service Philosophy: There is an "unbelievable" quality to the staff’s engagement—a seamless blend of old-world professionalism and a sincere desire to delight. • The "Princess" Treatment: Our daughter wasn’t merely a guest; she was the guest of honor. The staff curated an environment where she felt truly celebrated, proving that "family-friendly" and "ultra-luxury" are not mutually exclusive terms. Why It Matters In an era of automated check-ins and dwindling service standards, The Palace has doubled down on the human element. The result is a total capture of guest loyalty. We walked in as visitors; we left as lifelong partisans. "The Palace has achieved the impossible: maintaining the gravity of a historic landmark while providing a level of intimacy that makes it feel like a private residence." For those seeking a sanctuary in San Francisco, the search ends here. The Palace is no longer just a recommendation; it is the only viable option for the discerning traveler who demands both grandeur and grace.

My husband and I have stayed at this location multiple times. My stay at this hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The service was impeccable, with staff anticipating every need and going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and luxurious experience. The rooms were beautifully appointed, offering stunning views and all the amenities one could wish for. Dining was a culinary delight, with each meal a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable getaway.
